Leadership and faith to inspire others.

Thank you for helping me join the Watoto Medical Mission to Uganda to help widows and orphans. The trip was incredibly impactful and unsettling.

I will be sharing e-cards and an e-book about the journey with friends, advocates and champions. Go to https://www.gofundme.com/joyceharkness2uganda to be part of it all.

All donations have been remitted to Watoto, unless explicitly donated to cover my trip expenses.

  1. Excellent blog! Do you have any suggestions for aspiring writers? I’m planning to start my own blog soon but I’m a little lost on everything. Would you propose starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I’m totally confused … Any recommendations? Cheers!

    • Hi Timothy. Before you do anything, ask yourself “Why do you want to blog?” Keep asking until you get to your deepest answer. Check out what I wrote on “What and Why” to get an idea. Once you find your “Why?”, then ask yourself what you would like to achieve – goals, objectives, “success” measures. The commitment to blogging means a lot of time is required to build and maintain the site. I will write a post one day soon about how I started my journey on blogging. Just watch out for it.

  2. Your content is excellent and benefits many. Have you ever thought about adding a little bit more than just your articles, like some great graphics or videos to give your posts more “pop”?

    • Thank you, Clarence. Yes, I have added some video clips in one, but have decided to keep things simple for most – to manage my time. I am blogging because I enjoy it but I have other things I enjoy, too. Check out “The Gift of Time”. My vision is to inspire people, so they reflect and act, to impact their world. Attracting them to the post is important, but I hope it goes beyond attraction to a deeper engagement that leads to action.

What do you think about this? I would like to hear from you.
